Preparing for Christmas

Mommy and Daddy put up the Christmas Tree today to James' wonder. We have not decorated the tree yet, because we want to let the branches hang out after being packed up for the past year. Mommy and Daddy have discussed how to decorate the tree to keep James from getting in to everything. We have definitely decided not to use the metal hooks, but to instead use ornaments that have string to hang over the branches. We have also decided not to place anything on the second lowest tier of branches (we already leave the lowest tier off because of the cats climbing in the tree) and we will not be placing breakable ornaments (round bulbs) on the tree this year. We hope to let James help decorate the tree over the next few days.
