Learning New Words

Sorry it has been so long since we have given an update on Little Man. James is doing great, learning new words every day. James can repeat back his ABC's. He says, "I see you!" He also is learning many animal sounds, such as what a cat says, what a dog says, and what a cow says. Thanks to Boynton books, according to James, pigs say, "La La La". Everyone else, including Grandma and Grandpa say, "No!" It has been amazing to see him grow and learn over the last couple of months. He seems to change daily. We are finally enjoying some nice weather, giving James a chance to play outside before dinner and perhaps even leading to some better nights sleep.

James is with Ms. Anita full time now. He is doing great and happy to still be with his friend Morgan. We miss seeing Ms. Ellen every day, but we are glad to report that she is feeling better, and slowly getting her strength back. James has been able to visit her a couple of times and we will be sure to keep her a part of our lives even though she won't be watching James anymore.

Jim went to Indiana and Kentucky on a trip with his brother John and sister Carolyn to do some family tree research a couple of weekends ago. It was the longest Jim has been away since James was born. I am not sure who missed who more. Every morning while Jim was away, James would call DaDa. When he got home, I don't think James let go of him for quite some time.

James is also starting to show empathy, which has been very sweet. If one of us shows that we are hurt, say if we stubbed a toe, James comes up to us and starts hugging and kissing, saying "Aw". He is a very loving, caring child and we feel blessed every day.

We hope to get more pictures and videos on the web site soon. James says "hello" (which he has learned is what you say when you answer the phone as well) and he hopes to see everyone soon.
