James got to see Daddy for the first time in a week yesterday. Daddy had been traveling to visit potential graduate schools while James and Mommy stayed at Grandma and Grandpa's house. James immediately latched on to Daddy and didn't let go for quite a while. Daddy says that James has changed a lot in the past week. He has grown much taller (so it seems) and is now speaking much clearer.
On the way home James didn't let Daddy out of his sight. When Daddy stopped to get a newspaper at the gas station, James started crying because he thought Daddy was leaving again. He did the same with Mommy when we got home and Mommy got out to open the door to the house. Mommy was away from James for a couple of days while traveling to a conference this past weekend.
James enjoyed his time with Grandma and Grandpa, but he still wants his Mommy and Daddy. Grandma and Grandpa bought James a new pair of shoes and he received some new toys from some of Grandpa's cousins.
James says to tell everyone hello. One of his favorite words right now - especially with his play telephone. He is doing fine and wants everyone to know that Mommy and Daddy are doing their best to keep up the scrapbook. It is a very busy time right now trying to get into graduate school and figure out what James' future might be.
