Catching up

Sorry we have been so busy and not very good about keeping up Little Man's scrapbook. We do have some pictures and video to upload which will hopefully happen sometime next week. James is doing great still loving his new daycare. That is in spite of being bit by one of the other children the other day. It did not break the skin but did leave a nice welt. However, James' teachers were very relieved we did not overreact. The child who bit him seems to be a little over a year old. At that age, James had some active chompers himself. We understand. And thankfully so did his friend Morgan's parents since Morgan was typically on the receiving end of his bites. Kids go through this and they get over it...you do your best to redirect them and keep everyone safe. James's vocabulary is growing by the day. He is also learning songs and will tell you what song he wants you to sing. In fact, he will even tell you who he wants to sing the song! When we are in the car with James, we will often take turns singing his songs and he will ask for the same songs over and over, chiming in with the words he knows from the song. You can tell how his brain in working to absorb the lyrics and melodies. Lately, when we are singing in the car, Daddy will sing a couple of songs and hand off to Mommy. As soon as Mommy starts to sing, James interrupts and says, "Daddy's turn." Guess Mommy will not be auditioning for American Idol. The newest song James is learning and asks for often is "Take Me Out to the Ball Game." We are enjoying watching him grow and learn and develop his strong sense of independence. We look forward to a weekend in Pittsburgh to see Grandma and Grandpa and the Keelin Family at their annual picnic. James says hello to everyone and blows kisses to all.
