James the Comedian

Today James woke up in a really good mood and had many funny moments before heading off to school.  The first was when he sat on his potty chair.  (He's sitting on it, but has only actually used it once or twice.) He sat down on his potty chair and picked "his" book out of the vanity drawer.  James' book is actually a book Mommy and Daddy received as a prank gift.  The book is called "What is Your Poo Telling You."  It is written by a medical doctor and explains what different Poo means.  It does so in a light-hearted but very serious manner.

So James pick up his book and he turns to the first page with actual text on it and he begins reading.  "If you get gas, you have to go home!"  Now, I am not sure which is funnier, James' actual quote or the fact that he said this while holding the book that he was holding.  In either case Daddy couldn't help but laugh and James just started giggling and smiling.

A few minutes later James add, "When you come to the light, WATCH OUT!" as he was looking at the bathroom light.  His comment made Daddy wonder.  This is a comment James has made when pulling up to a stoplight.  What I began to wonder was if James' earlier comment was meant about getting gas (gastrointestinal air) or getting gas (fuel for the car). While driving to James to school, he commented that he wanted to "Go to school, Daddy get gas, and go see Grandma and Grandpa." Makes me think he original comment meant the latter, but it was still really funny.

At one point during our drive to school, James saw a crane, several bulldozers, a steam roller, and several diggers at a road construction site.  James saw one digger and said "Daddy, there's a crane."  Daddy replied, "No, James, that's a digger."  James then stated, "Oh! That's a digger . . . it's digging treasure chests!"  Apparently, Daddy is in the wrong profession. I should have joined the road construction crew!
